Last week, the All Star team embarked on an exciting journey to London for the Youth Music SONG conference. It was an opportunity to immerse ourselves in the vibrant world of youth music and connect with like-minded professionals. The conference centered around the launch of the SONG report, a comprehensive study into young people’s relationship with music, to which our team proudly contributed.
Our colleague, Lucas, was a key panelist, sharing invaluable insights from the report. The study involved surveying over 2,000 young people about their musical experiences, exploring how they discover music, its impact on their lives, and their career aspirations. The report also conducted in-depth interviews with young people, parents, and industry experts. The findings revealed a significant gap in understanding the diverse career paths available within the music industry beyond performing or producing.
The conference was a catalyst for inspiring conversations and networking opportunities. We're excited to apply the knowledge gained from the event to our work at All Star. By understanding the challenges and aspirations of young people, we can create more impactful programs and support their musical journeys.
