On Monday, July 3rd, 2023, Healthy Minds apprentices delivered their award-winning KCU (Kindness, Compassion & Understanding) workshop to young people in Bradford who attended the BIB Fest event. The workshop was designed to help young people understand the importance of kindness, compassion, and understanding, and how these qualities can help to create a more positive and supportive environment for everyone.
The apprentices then led the young people in a variety of activities and exercises designed to help them develop their own understanding of kindness, compassion, and understanding.
By the end of the workshop, the young people had a much better understanding of the importance of KCU. They also made a number of pledges to help action KCU in their own schools and communities. These pledges included:
Being more kind and compassionate to others, even those who are different from them
Understanding and respecting the feelings of others
Promoting KCU in their schools and communities
The Healthy Minds apprentices were delighted with the positive response that they received from the young people at BIB Fest. They believe that the KCU workshop is an important tool for helping young people to develop the skills and knowledge they need to create a kinder, compassionate, and understanding world.
