Empowering Youth Voices: Positive Feedback and the Next Steps our Youth Voice App

Our ongoing work to support young people through technology has reached an important milestone, and we are very pleased with the progress achieved. Following the collaborative co-design and development phase, we recently had the opportunity to present the "Youth Voice App" to the young people who played a vital role in its creation.This project has been a true partnership, and we extend our sincere thanks to FotoNow CIC, Groundwork UK, and our digital partners Yalla Cooperative for their invaluable contributions. The development of the "Youth Voice App" has been a collaborative effort involving young people and youth workers from Bradford, Plymouth, and County Durham, all working alongside our partners CAST and NCS. We invited these young co-designers to provide their feedback on their experience and their perspectives on the app they helped to shape. The responses we received were extremely positive and reinforced the value of integrating young people's insights from the outset.

Meaningful Involvement Confirmed

100% of the young people affirmed that they felt genuinely involved in the design process. The fact that so many felt their contributions had a positive impact and that their input was valued throughout the project underscores the level of ownership and engagement fostered by this collaborative approach.

Optimism for the App and Skill Development

The young people also expressed optimism regarding the future potential of the "Youth Voice App," with all respondents conveying a positive outlook. It was also encouraging to see that the project enhanced their understanding and confidence in utilising design and digital tools – a valuable outcome extending beyond the immediate scope of the app.

Celebrating Collaboration and Future Implementation

To acknowledge the significant contributions of the young people and the digital solutions developed across the partnership, we recently hosted a successful online event. This provided a valuable forum for all involved to share their achievements and celebrate their successes!
