The B-Safe program, a vital initiative funded by Public Health, is dedicated to equipping young people with the knowledge and skills they need to thrive in today's complex world. By addressing critical issues such as anti-social behavior, online safety, and personal health, we aim to prevent harm and empower young people to make informed decisions.
A Year of Impact
As of November 2024, the B-Safe program has reached over 1,899 young learners across 12 Primary Schools in the Bradford District through 35 engaging workshops. We are incredibly proud of this achievement and the positive impact it has had on our community.
Key Program Areas:
Our comprehensive program covers a range of essential topics:
Anti-Social Behaviour: Understanding the consequences of anti-social behaviour and the importance of respect for others.
Dangers and Decisions: Exploring real-world dangers, such as fire safety, water safety, and road safety, and learning how to make informed choices.
Anti-Bullying: Promoting kindness, empathy, and resilience, and providing strategies for dealing with bullying.
Online Safety: Educating young people about the risks of cyberbullying, online grooming, and the importance of digital citizenship.
Relationships and Personal Health: Teaching young people about healthy relationships, consent, and personal hygiene.
Looking Ahead:
As we move into 2025, we are committed to expanding the reach of the B-Safe program and engaging even more schools and learners. By working together, we can create a safer and brighter future for our young people.
